Scandelaia is a family-owned estate in Tuscany with a story spanning more than thirty years. When the family acquired it in the early 1990s, the house was a ruin and the terraces completely overgrown. Over the decades that followed, they undertook a significant restoration using local craftsmen and traditional methods, bringing the estate back to its current glory. Today, across 12 acres of restored olive terraces, they produce a very exclusive single estate organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, yielding around 450 litres in a good year. The farmhouse, sleeping 14, is also available to rent, offering complete privacy, spectacular panoramic views over the Monti del Chianti valley towards Siena, and the perfect base for exploring Tuscany and Umbria.
