Children’s Mental Health Week, 7th to 13th February 2022.
“Wisdom While You Work, Values for Wellbeing”
Over the past couple of years, adjusting to home schooling and being separated from their friends has been extremely tough and so many children have had their self-confidence knocked, affecting their positive mental health.
The Naval Children’s Charity, recognising this problem, and already having free children’s books available for younger Naval children, wanted to help build back the confidence of older children.
The charity has collaborated with Libbla Kelly’s and commissioned a charity edition of her confidence building notebook for young people.
“Wisdom While You Work, Values for Wellbeing”, is an engrossing journal which includes many of life’s most essential values.
It has advice, explanations and suggestions to help engage and guide young people to expand their interests, shape their characters and give them self-confidence. The messages improve understanding, communication, motivation and positivity, ultimately improving their wellbeing.
Clare Scherer, CEO of the Naval Children’s Charity says: “As the only charity solely dedicated to the needs of the children of our amazing Naval personnel, both serving and veteran, we are delighted to be able to offer this book for children and young people who might find it a useful way to build their self-confidence and improve their mental health. For any family that needs help we would urge you to get in touch, particularly in these difficult times, and see what we can do for you”
The charity version of the notebook is available free to children and young adults with Naval parents, aged between 10 & 25, across the United Kingdom.
To request a copy, simply email: firstname.lastname@example.org giving the age of the child/ren, a postal address and the parents service number.
