Protecting Children Worldwide – An Evening of Purpose

On November 28th, 2023 we hosted a remarkable evening dedicated to safeguarding children worldwide. Sponsored by the Don Hanson Trust, the event supported The Maggie Oliver Foundation and Hear Their Cries, uniting individuals committed to this vital cause.

The evening began with a Champagne Reception at 6.30 pm, featuring Major General Patrick Cordingley’s warm welcome. Guest speakers Andrew Macleod of Hear Their Cries and Maggie Oliver of The Maggie Oliver Foundation shared compelling insights into global child protection efforts. Entertainment showcased former Britain’s Got Talent winner Richard Jones’ mesmerising magic tricks and a musical performance by Tia Connelly, who sang Whitney Houston’s “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength”, was absolutely beautiful.

Acknowledging the darker side of child protection, the event highlighted Maggie Oliver’s tireless efforts to save abused children and Andrew McLeod’s work combating child exploitation in developing countries, emphasising the collective responsibility to safeguard children. It blended inspiration, music, and heartfelt conversations, reinforcing the importance of protecting future generations.
